The launch period. For now every installation may do everything, with no licence and no account. veymeer license says whether the period is in force and when it ends. When it ends, an installation without a licence is Individual, and nothing else about it changes.

Signing in brings your plan to a device

The first time you run the engine at a terminal it asks one question: continue without an account, or sign in. Programs that run the engine for you are never asked.

  1. Run veymeer login

    The engine prints a short code and opens this site in your browser.

  2. Sign in here

    With your second factor, if the account has one. No password ever passes through the engine.

  3. Approve the device

    The page shows which machine is asking. You approve it, or decline.

  4. That is all

    The engine receives a licence for that device and renews it by itself. veymeer logout signs the device out.

What the engine tells us. An identifier for the installation that means nothing anywhere else, the machine's name so that your account can list it, the engine's version and the operating system. Never your models, your prompts, your answers or how much you use it; not at sign-in and not later.
Offline. A licence runs for a few weeks and is renewed in the background while the engine serves, so a machine that goes offline keeps its plan until the licence ends. A licence can also be installed as a file, with no account and no network.

Asked before

Is the free tier slower?

No. Every tier runs the same engine at the same speed, with every speed feature on. The free tier answers one conversation at a time; that is the difference.

Do I need an account to use it?

No. Individual needs no account and no network connection. An account is how a paid plan reaches a device.

What is "a conversation at a time"?

A request being answered at this moment. On Individual a second request waits in the queue for its turn. A chat window, an editor and a script can all use one engine; they take turns.

What happens if I set something above my tier?

The engine says so plainly. More conversations than the tier serves are brought down to what it serves, with a line in the log. A cluster, model switching or a network address the tier does not include is refused with a message that names the tier that includes it. Nothing stops working silently.

How do Individual-PRO and Individual-MAX get paid for?

Once. They are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Enterprise-MAX is a subscription. The prices are published at launch.

Can I move my plan to another machine?

Yes. Sign the old device out, with veymeer logout or from your account's list of devices, and sign in on the new one.

Does STRADA need a paid tier?

No. STRADA is open source and free for everyone, companies included, and works with the engine on any tier.

What happens when the launch period ends?

An installation without a licence becomes Individual: one conversation at a time, a cluster of up to three other machines, the same speed. veymeer license shows whether the period is in force and the date it ends.
